Art Requirements for Custom Labels & Tags

To get the best print quality for your custom labels and tags, follow these simple guidelines when submitting your artwork.

File Types We Accept:

  • Best Options: AI, EPS, PDF (These are high-quality vector files)
  • Other Options: PSD, PNG, JPG, TIFF (These should be high resolution)

Image Quality:

  • Resolution: At least 300 DPI for clear, sharp printing
  • Color Mode: Use CMYK for full-color printing or Pantone (PMS) colors for specific color matching
  • Fonts: Convert all fonts to outlines or send the font file with your design
  • Bleed & Safe Zone: Add a 0.125-inch bleed around your design to ensure clean cuts

Vector vs. Raster – What’s the Difference?

Vector Files (Best Choice!)

  • Can be resized without losing quality
  • Great for logos, text, and simple graphics
  • Formats: AI, EPS, PDF

Raster Files (Use with Care)

  • Made of tiny pixels, so they can become blurry when enlarged
  • Best for detailed images or photos but must be high resolution
  • Formats: PNG, JPG, TIFF, PSD

Other Tips:

  • Keep your design at actual size (100% scale)
  • Remove any extra layers or hidden elements before sending
  • If your design has a transparent background, use PNG or TIFF
  • Sending a sample or mockup can help us get the best results!

Following these simple steps will help make sure your labels and tags look great. If you have any questions, we're happy to help!
